Purpose Statement

The Order of the Arrow is a national brotherhood of Scout honor campers within the Boy Scouts of America. The Order of the Arrow has four purposes:

  • To recognize those Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.
  • To develop and maintain camping tradition and spirit.
  • To promote Scout camping and to help strengthen the council camping program.
  • To crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.

The Winnedumah Chapter of the Yowlumne Lodge #303 has compiled the information in this booklet from a number of sources and is pleased to make this booklet available to you. With your help, we will keep this booklet updated. As you go camping, please help us by filling out this form. Whether it be an update of information already in this booklet or a campsite we have not including please help us to help others by sending us current information.

Please use this booklet to help you and your unit to plan your future outings. The Order of the Arrow is interested in helping every  unit to go camping at least once every month. We also hope every unit will participate in a long term camp such as an organized summer camp or a fifty mile hike every year.

Have a great camping year.
